The God-Sex Game: Reprise
Mar. 16th, 2006 09:48 pmBecause I still have fourteen tests to grade tonight, because I am deeply bored, and because it's been well over a year since the last round, it is time for a new round of the God-Sex Game.
The Rules:
1. This is a two-player game. One player (call xim "G") plays "god", and the other player ("S") plays "sex".
2. The object of the game is to be able to say the word "god", for G, or the word "sex", for S.
3. Start with a neutral word -- for instance, "comb".
4. One player says a word associated with "comb" -- for instance, "hair". The next player says a word associated with "hair." Repeat until G says "god", S says "sex", or the players get bored.
5. Words may not be repeated.
6. Don't hesitate before responding -- try to respond within thirty seconds of the time you see the response. (Thinking too hard gets boring.)
Here's a sample (but very short) game:
Starting word: order
G: commandment
S: adultery
G: Zeus
S: Aphrodite... oops, I didn't mean that...
G: god
If you want to play, start a thread here with a word connected to "exam". Tell me in the subject line which player you want to be -- usually, S has it easier, but if G has a decent amount of religious background, the game can be pretty fair. (I usually play G.)
I'll check for tags between grading, so replies may not be immediate.
