Residency!

I have successfully sold my soul to the state of California. They almost turned it down. They don't like souls when accompanied by amended tax returns. Nevertheless, I was able to convince them that I was indeed financially independent... by going to my department administrator and begging frantically for a 49% time job. The administrator showed me some mercy and provided me with a double readership next semester. I will be grading at least ninety papers next semester instead of forty... but I will be formally known as a resident of California. Thank goodness. I can't deal with applying for residency again.

Oh, and I have an apartment, which I should really work on moving into.
