I confess I didn't think of the two of them as a pair until I started reading fanfic... but once I did, I was convinced.
Meanwhile, rereading Dealing with Dragons (from Patricia Wrede's Enchanted Forest Chronicles) last night, I decided that what that series needs is some good femslash. Look at Cimorene, who was so disgusted by the idea of getting married to that silly ass, Prince Therandil, that she ran away from home to cook, clean, and translate Latin for dragons. She'd make a terrific lesbian. Besides, she's as tall as most princes and has black, curly hair that falls down to her feet. I'm in love.
