I was recently reading or hearing about that somewhere. I think something a few weeks ago. It is very disconcerting. The world may be headed for an end, but at least your hands will be warmer until that point. No, there really isn't a positive to global warming.

I think climatologists have seen this coming for some time now--I wrote a paper about the then-hypothetical situation for a high school English class. In 1987. Back then, those who were involved in modeling the potential massive release of methane were saying that if it came to this, it would be too late to reverse the warming--it's a tipping point.
