Friends only!
Jul. 15th, 2007 08:13 pmI believe I've almost unintentionally made the switch to a friends-only journal. The last eight posts on this journal are either locked to my friends in general or filtered to people who've expressed interest in hearing my complaints about the dissertating process.
Anyway, I welcome any and all readers to my journal -- I just like to know who they are. If you ask to be added, you almost certainly will be.
I shall work on producing one of those trendy friends-only banners, perhaps using some particularly homoerotic medieval illumination -- any suggestions, people? In the meantime, comment here to be added to my friendslist in general or to any or all of these opt-in filters:

- Dissertation (Ramblings about research -- emphasis on ramblings.)
- Teaching (The exciting life of a graduate instructor.)
- Roleplaying (If you're a Milliways player on my friendslist, you're already on it.)

Date: 2007-07-19 03:47 am (UTC)I friended you, after reading your profile and realising we're at very similar stages.
And yay for roleplaying as well, though to date I've only played in 3 games, 2 of which were Buffy related.
And teaching too! What are you teaching? I'm lecturing (for the first time) and tutoring for the umpteenth on Old English. In the other semester, I do Middle English.

Date: 2007-07-19 12:08 pm (UTC)I really only play in one game, the panfandom LiveJournal
I teach composition to undergraduates; the theme of the class differs from semester to semester, and for reasons related to my having to have a teaching filter in the first place, I'm not going to describe next semester's theme on a public post. You'll see the posts when I start teaching again in the (American) fall.
I want to read too!
