Oct. 27th, 2005 10:14 amWell, Miers is out. I'm relieved we won't be getting her as a Supreme Court justice, but terrified of whoever else we might get.
From the NYT:
Mr. Bush issued a statement in which he accepted Ms. Miers's decision with regret, praised her "extraordinarily legal experience" and her character and said he agreed that senators were intent on gaining access to internal White House documents about her service.
Would anyone like to tell me what it means to have "extraordinarily legal experience"? Does that mean that Miers lived her life especially legally?
ETA: Bush's actual statement only mentions Miers' "extraordinary legal experience". The extra "il" seems to have been added by the Times. Darn. "Extraordinary legal experience" is much less interesting than the "extraordinarily" kind.
