Medieval Icons for Kerry!

The community fan_the_vote is fundraising for the Kerry campaign and for moveon.org by having its members do all sorts of fannish things for donations. I, of course, must get involved in this effort. While all my fanfic-writing time is currently claimed by an alternate universe based on strange_selkie's Vilna Stories (chiefly distinguished from the original by the fact that everyone doesn't die, and the majority of the people who do deserve it), I thought I would volunteer myself for

Icons!

If you donate, I will make you an icon based on a medieval manuscript, phrase, object, figure... you name it. Someone on my friendslist wants an icon of Hildegard of Bingen's universe-vagina, don't you? In fact, I was so confident someone would want one of these that I already made it - the icon attached to this post is up for grabs. Do you want Margery Kempe jumping out of bed and declaring that it is ful mery in heven? I'll make icons inspired by Beowulf, Chaucer, Malory, the Ancrene Wisse, Julian of Norwich, Abelard & Heloise, Augustine, Bernard of Clairvaux, the Sutton Hoo ship burial, any manuscript of which a picture can be found on the Web,etc, etc. If you don't have ideas, you can request a surprise and I'll make you something I think you'd like.

Pricing will be a sliding scale based on whatever you feel like donating, but if you want animation, you should donate $5 or more.

For $1, you can have a copy of an icon I've already made for myself or for someone else - you can see the ones that are available on my icons page. If you want to be the only user of the icon I make you, you can donate an extra $5 for exclusivity.
