The list actually honors my undergraduate school, my current university, my original hometown and my current neighborhood:
Arthur Green: The Sfat Emet is particularly helpful in understanding the question - even if we have to amend his answers in light of our changed understanding of poultry. A contemporary Jewish theology must incorporate the chicken's need to cross the road, even if we don't fully understand why it wanted to cross the road in the first place.
Danny Boyarin: [Answer unintelligible - but something to do with gender, the Talmud and the word "construction."
Conservative rabbi: As Mordechai Kaplan always taught: give the chicken a vote, not a veto…
